Landscape Prints (Page under construction)
Editions: all prints on this page are ‘open’ editions.
Paper: I use a ‘fine art’ 300gsm paper for prints up to A3 size. Prints larger than A3 will be on a high-quality photo paper. Images are printed with a border.
Sheet Metal: Prints can be made on sheet aluminium and is a great way of displaying large landscape images. These are provided unmounted, i.e. without a matt. Most people mount these directly on a wall with no further frame giving a contemporary minimalist appearance. Please note that I do not hold these in stock, and these have to be made specially to order and the typical turnaround time is 2 to 3 weeks.
Canvas: Prints can be made on canvas and is a great way of displaying large images. These are provided unmounted. Depending on the aspect ratio of the underlying image, prints have a border or may be borderless. All the West Kirby and River Mersey panoramic images will have a border.
Picture Mount (Matt) and Sizes
Prints can be supplied already attached to a matt and backing board ready for framing. Matts are made with a white archival quality mounting board. The matt is cut with a bevel cut and a small border is left around the print.
The table below shows the image size and the final size in the matt. The overall size has been chosen to be compatible as far as possible with ready-made frames from places like IKEA, John Lewis, The Range, Hobbycraft etc.
