There is nothing better than a winter’s day in the mountains when they’re covered in snow.
These images are from a winter trip in late 2021 to the Lake District and the Langdale Valley. There had been snow the previous week, but rain had washed most of it away.
Day 1 started and ended in Ambleside. In between was a trip to Great Langdale, a classic U-bottomed glacial valley.

Day 2 was a visit to the ancient stone circle at Castelrigg, which is near Keswick.
